I love taking video now and then in addition to all of the pictures I take, because the point of all of it for me is to be able to look back and remember the way their faces moved, the way they talked, the excitement in their eyes, what a stud their Dad is and how much he loves them.
The Day Out With Thomas finally arrived, and the kids were so excited! I squeezed James into his "conductor" overalls one last time before he outgrew them and grabbed their train engineer hat from the play clothes and we took off for Heritage Park (one of the kid's favorite places).

For the August long weekend, we were invited to join some friends at their cabin in Montana. I was beyond excited, I'd never been to a cabin and had wanted to go to one since I'd read about summer cabin adventures as a kid.
